Stainless Steel Sintered wire mesh
Aug 24, 2020
Sintering is the process of improving the properties of a woven mesh by bonding the contact points of all of the wires together to form a mesh that is firmly fused in place. This is achieved by a combination of heat and pressure, resulting in a single layer sintered wire mesh.
Our Stainless Steel Sintered wire meshes are standard and widely used sintered wire mesh. A single layer of fine wire mesh was placed between two thicker square woven meshes, which were then added to two layers of strong Dutch woven wire mesh and sintered together to form a sturdy board. A single layer of finely woven wire mesh is used as a filter layer that can be customized to meet specific filtration grades ranging from 1 micron to 200 microns.
These layers are usually constructed of 316L stainless steel mesh, but special alloys such as Hastelloy®, Monel®, Inconel®, Alloy20, etc., can also be added.
Our standard sizes are 2'x4' or 4'x4' plates, but can be used to make plates, tubes, larger plates and cones of different sizes.
This type of sintered wire mesh laminate has applications in many industries including pharmaceuticals, chemical processing, food and beverage, and transportation. Applications include gas injection, fluidized bed, liquid and gas filtration, Nutsche filters, pharmaceutical processing, centrifuges and other products not yet developed and put into use.
